Ingredients for Rava Cheela:

  • 1 cup rava/suji
  •  Half a cup of curd
  •  1 pc. medium-size onion, finely chopped
  •  1 pc. medium-size tomato, finely chopped
  •  Half carrot, finely chopped
  •  2 pc green chili, finely chopped
  •  2 tbsp corn, boiled
  •  2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • Salt to per taste
  • ¼ tbsp chat masala

How to make Rava Cheela:

Firstly, using a bowl, add 1 cup rava and half a cup of curd. Mix it well. It is very thick, then uses ½ cup of water and mixes well, forming any lumps. Rest for 15 minutes or till the rava swells completely.

Further add chopped onion, chopped tomato, boiled corn, chopped carrot, green chili, 2 tbsp coriander leaves, salt to taste, and ¼ tbsp chat masala. Mix it well to make a thick, flowing consistency batter.

Now use tawa grease with oil and spread a ladleful of batter thickly. Pour ½ tbsp oil around the edges. For 2 to 4 minutes, cook well, then use a spatula to flip it over and press gently, making the chilla look golden, and then remove it. Cook from both sides for 2 minutes and let the chilla get cooked. Serve hot Rava Cheela with chutney or tomato sauce.
